You will arrive in the morning and have some time to explore the city in the afternoon. Known as the ‘Paris of South America’ Buenos Aires has an air of cool, sophistication with stunning architecture and a vibrant way of life. Either enjoy a tour or explore the capital of tango by yourself.

You will fly early in the morning to Ushuaia, the Southernmost city in the world and board the vessel. The journey begins with a welcome dinner and you will say goodbye to South America. Antarctica awaits!

You will spend the next couple of days crossing the Drake Passage. As you cross the Drake there will ample opportunity to keep an eye out for the incredible life of the Southern Ocean including albatross and whales. The expedition team will provide lectures and films about the frozen continent, it's wildlife and history and brief you on the landing protocols in Antarctica.

The endless white horizon's of Antarctica will invigorate your senses. Subject to the weather conditions you will land on the frozen continent, cruise between giant icebergs and spot whales and from the deck! Among the locations, you may get to visit on the itinerary are Half Moon Island, Cuverville Island and Neko Harbour.

You will spend day 10 at sea as the ship sails for the Falkland Islands, the expedition team will continue their programme of lecturers telling you everything you need to know about the history, great explorers, marine biology, wildlife, oceanography and the impact of climate change.

In the Falkland Islands, you will experience a slice of Britain in the South Atlantic. Red buses, phone boxes, pubs, it's a home from home and the locals will be sure to make you feel welcome. The Island is home to more penguins than people and the pristine wilderness is an amazing chance to relax in stunning nature. The islands have a rich history and were an important stopping off point prior to the opening of the Panama canal for ships passing Cape Horn. There are a number of optional excursions available that will let you get the most out of your time here including history tours, bird watching tours, nature walks and even a scenic plane tour where you can discover the Falklands by air in a classic island-hopping aircraft.

Your final day at sea is full of activity. As you reminisce with your fellow travel companions about the wonder that you have seen. There will be a last few talks and chances to enjoy the onboard activities.

Your expedition cruise ends in Ushuaia, the main city in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina’s southernmost province. From here, you’ll take a flight back to Buenos Aires.
