Polar Pioneer

The Polar Pioneer was originally built as an ice-strengthened research in Finland in 1982, she was refurbished in 2000 and converted into a passenger ship for expeditions to the polar regions.  The ship is small and nimble, carrying just 54 passengers, offering a truly intimate experience onboard.

There is a range of accommodation types to choose from including triple and twin cabins as well as larger suites, all featuring outside facing portholes or windows and storage space for your gear. Cabins have either shared or private bathroom facilities.

Healthy and delicious meals are served daily with morning and afternoon tea available in one of the two dining rooms. Guests can enjoy the unparalleled scenery from the spacious observation deck or from the outer decks and flying bridge. Other facilities include a lounge bar, a dedicated presentation room, a sauna, a medical clinic with English-speaking doctor and daily cabin cleaning service.
