Your voyage begins in the afternoon, as you depart Ushuaia be sure to make your way up on the deck as you sail past the icy blue peaks of the Beagle channel.

Spend two days sailing across the Drake Passage, these waters are among the planet’s most temperamental, but nothing your ship a UL1 (1A rated) vessel isn’t perfectly equipped to handle.  Keep an eye out for the phenomenal wildlife as you cross the Antarctic Convergence - these fresh up-welling waters are home to some of the world’s most diverse marine life. Seabirds and whales feast on the rich produce of these fertile waters, performing unique spectacles in front of your very eyes.

The ship sails through the eclectic islands at the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula. Finally reaching the calm waters around Wiencke Island. It is here that the ship begins its base camp excursions and activities. You will have the opportunity to try everything including kayaking, hiking and mountaineering but make sure you pick your activities well in advance of sailing. Neko Harbour provides the opportunity to set foot on the continent itself and take in the view of a vast glacier, a lucky few may even get to climb up to the higher ground of the spectacular ice mass.

Having enjoyed your time in Antarctica, It is now time to return across the Drake Passage on the way back to Ushuaia, relaxing onboard and sharing stories with your fellow explorers and editing the many photos of your voyage.

You will arrive in Ushuaia in the morning and disembark after breakfast.
